24-Hour Semâ

The Semâ is the "dance of listening"—a spiritual ceremony originally practiced in Turkey since the 13th century by the Semazen (Whirling Dervishes) and inspired by the teachings of the Persian poet and mystic Mawlana Jalal al-Din Rûmi.
Although originally codified and ritualized, this dance is gradually opening to a universal practice.
In 2014, the Sufi master and music therapist researcher Dr. Rahmi Oruç Güvenç organized a 99-day Semâ, during which the music and dance never stopped.

To honor this moment and the memory of Master Oruç Guvenç,
we have decided to organize a 24-hour Semâ.
A gathering in a Sufi lineage tradition.
24 hours where music and dance come together,
24 hours where beauty will be host by the presence of each one of us.

This gathering is a celebration. A time to meet each other and honor life itself.
A shared prayer, uniting hearts—beyond dogma and religions.
Everyone is welcome to experience this 24 hours Semâ,
If you have whirled before or this if it is your first time, come, come, come!
(For beginners, a dance initiation session will be offered before the 24-hour cycle begins.)
These 24 hours will unfold across day and night, without interruption.

SCHEDULE
The Semâ will take place 24 hours : from Saturday, May 1st at 10:30 AM to Sunday, May 2nd at 10:30 AM.
We welcome you on Friday evening, allowing you time to settle in, meet one another, and enjoy the surroundings.
This event is a connection; a moment to give yourself a gift of fully experiencing and shared time through Dance and music.
MUSICIANS
>> Accommodation and meals are provided for musicians (for up to 20 musicians).

DANCERS and PARTICIPANTS
>> Everyone is invited to this event, whether or not you practice Sufi dance.
If you wish to join us—as we have no sponsor for this event—we offer three donation options:
* 220 euros – Low budget
* 260 euros – Supporter
* 300 euros – Contributor
This donation-participation covers your camping accommodation (tent or vehicle) and your meals from Friday evening through Sunday lunch (inclusive).

The organizers
Gabrielle Favier and Rodolphe Cintorino
Both trained in Sufi dance by Rana Gorgani, they teach this dance and immerse themselves in the music and the transmission of a path centered on the heart.
From dance workshops to artistic creations, their areas of exploration serve as pathways connecting them to the Divine.
In 2027, they felt a calling to reconnect with the tradition of Rahmi Oruç Güvenç and to organize a *Semâ*—the first of its kind in France—lasting 24 hours.
It is their love for sharing and transmitting the sacred to the most widely audience that inspired them to organize this ceremony.
