Every year in December, we celebrate SEB-I ARUS.
This "Wedding Night " honors the birth into heaven of the Persian poet Jalal al-Din Rumi, in 1273.

Here, marriage is not earthly union, but the fusion of the human soul and the Divine.
To the one who considered his death not as an end but as a reunion with his Beloved, with God, we will dedicate this Sufi transmission.

This workshop is a unique opportunity to come and learn and practice Sufi dance.
From Friday, December 19th at 6pm to Sunday, December 21st at 4pm.

No prior experience is required.
This transmission is open to everyone.

" Turn your heart towards the light, and the whole world will turn with you ."
Jalal al-Din Rumi

Daf and Sufi dance

Learn the basics of Sufi dance

This dance is an inner journey , a prayer in motion.

By turning on himself, the dancer aligns himself with the movements of the stars.

humbly repositioning itself at the heart of infinity.

To plunge into the swirling motion is to enter into oneself, to encounter the Divine at one's center.

This workshop doesn't simply invite you to learn how to turn — it invites you to much more than that, into a space, an encounter beyond words .

The dancer turns to the left, towards his heart.
It is to this inner temple that this dance leads you.

Here you can learn about this ancient practice , discover the technique of whirling, explore its historical roots and experience its profoundly spiritual dimension.

I cherish the spaces of transmission that connect us through listening, love, gentleness, and joy.
I invite you to experience this space alongside me, alongside us.

In the 13th century, Jalal ad-Din Rumi, spiritual master and theologian, met Shams of Tabriz , a wandering dervish carrying a mystical fire.

Shams transmits to him the practice of Sâma , this whirling dance already present in the Sufi tradition, but which Rûmî will reveal in a unique way.

The bond between the two men is deep, overwhelming, to the point that Shams' sudden disappearance reawakens Rumi's heart.

From this loss were born thousands of verses: an ardent poetry , guided by the love of the Divine and the call of the Beloved.

For Rumi, dance then becomes an act of prayer, a path to ecstasy and union.

A pivotal encounter

Celebrating Rumi and the beauty of his mystical poetry

This transmission around Sufi Dance will be unique because it is offered in the echo of the words and teachings of the poet Djalâl Al-Din Rûmi.

Opportunities to read his texts, discover his work and his
transmission will be offered to allow you to experience the beauty of his words, which speak directly to our hearts, like precious guides for our souls.

Content of the transmissions

During this workshop, each participant will be guided to integrate the fundamental steps and gestures of Sufi dance , in an approach that respects the rhythm and perceptions of each individual.

For those who already have a practice, this will be an opportunity to deepen the quality of presence, refine the listening to feelings, and discover new technical elements in service of inner movement.

" Dance, when you've been broken

Dance, when you've ripped off your bandages,

Dance in the midst of the battle.

Dance in your blood,

Dance when you are completely free.

O you who are an example of the divine archetype,

O you who are the mirror of royal beauty,

"What you want, seek it within yourself, for you are everything. "

My journey with Sufi Dance

Daf

One day, as I was walking, an inner voice whispered to me: "Turn" .

I knew nothing at the time about the art of the whirling dervishes.
But this calling never left me. It became a certainty, a quiet flame that continued to grow.

This voice guided me to RANA GORGANI, a great figure in contemporary Sufi dance, who has been teaching me for several years with rigor and depth.
In 2023, she gave me permission to start sharing this practice.

Since then, I have been introducing this art through workshops and individual lessons.

In parallel, my artistic calling takes shape in various collaborations:
– a stage production in March 2025 alongside singer KELLY AURA
– a duo with a singer accompanied by her shruti box, born from an improvised form mixing voice and whirling: the DUO MOZAÏK.

My journey is deeply nourished by Art.
Trained in music from childhood (Maîtrise de la Loire), then within the Roy Hart Theatre, I worked for more than ten years in the world of theatre, notably accompanying the Compagnie Plexus Polaire of Yngvild Aspeli.

I also had the honor of being part of the expert committee of the DRAC Bourgogne Franche-Comté from 2016 to 2018.
